Twitter Love Advice: World’s Longest-Married Couple Is Sharing Their Secrets Via Social Media

Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher have been married since 1924. He’s 104, and she’s 102, and the presumption is that, at this point, they probably know a thing or two about love. And it’s that knowledge that they plan to share on  – you guessed it – Valentine’s Day.

That’s right, all of us love-starved social media-ites in our computer-covered caves can seek the couple’s counsel via @LongestMarried until February 12. On the big day, the pair will choose 14 questions to cover.

According to Mashable, “The couple, who enjoy hanging on their front porch, watching trains pass by, counting cars and talking to their neighbors, are apparently the model of wedded bliss. They each have their own bedroom — so Herbert can stay up late watching baseball. ” Apparently, the secret to happily ever after boils down to giving each other some space, and sharing a love of shiny machines. Maybe us love-starved social media geeks aren’t so badly doomed after all?
